New House, Belstead
Role: Planning and building Regulations
Scope: New Build
Client: Suffolk Energy
OWL Architects were originally involved with alterations to the adjacent house and designs for what was later to become a severance plot. The site had a long planning history given historic Arboricultural issues and we were able to secure full planning consent after two attempts. Importantly OWL optimised the sites potential to deliver a five bedroom house, detached garage and even a pool room (not implemented). The site was subsequently acquired speculatively by Suffolk Energy as a marketing vehicle for their renewable energy business and we were commissioned to undertake the construction drawings for the property achieving an A plus EPC rating and using ASHP and solar collectors.
