St Mary at the Elms
Role: Surveyor & Project Manager
Scope: Historic Building, Conservation
Client: St Mary at the Elms PCC
Following a major fire in July 2010 OWL Architects were appointed by the PCC to undertake the restoration of this historic building in the heart of Ipswich in Suffolk. The conservation work was undertaken in two phases. The first involved the repair of smoke and fire damage to the interior of the main body of the church followed by restoration of the tower. Similar fire damage repair has been undertaken at St Mary Burgh St Peter in Norfolk with OWL Architects acting as Surveyor and Project Manager.
