Roydon Parish Church is a Grade I Listed building of unusual dedication. OWL Architects were commissioned to design an extension to the south side of the Nave accommodating a Choir Vestry and meeting room with a small galley kitchen. The extension is linked to the original structure via a new doorway. Alterations to the stain glass windows in the south elevation and general reordering were also required. The roof above the meeting space was of exposed pyramid form finished with Cedar boarding cut from a tree that had been previously removed from the churchyard. OWL Architects has successfully obtained planning consent and project managed similar works at St Marks Oulton Broad, St Peter Lingwood, St Peter Gunton, St Benedict Gunton, St Michael Oulton and Barnby Methodist Church.
