Estherene House is a privately owned and family run Care Home. Purchase of an adjoining site enabled the Home to implement expansion proposals on a phased basis and OWL were initially employed in an inspection capacity to advise the lender when payment stages had been reached. Familiarity with the proposals led to our suggestion that the scheme could be optimised and additional rooms might be introduced in later phases. Given that planning consent was awarded by appeal there was little appetite for resubmission and we achieved the additional accommodation within the approved plan footprint using the fenestration of the original scheme.
