Hall Farm House
Role: Planning, Design & Project Management
Scope: Conservation, Refurbishment
Client: Mr & Mrs Vere Nicholl
The project involved the stripping out and remodelling of an existing dwelling together with repair and alteration of outbuildings and a walled garden. The house, an attractive red brick building is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the Suffolk coast and given a desire to preserve as fully as possible its character and context, additions were sympathetically designed in traditional style. The project included an element of specialist joinery manufacture to designs by OWL Architects for the new kitchen, living spaces and bedrooms fit-out and a high standard of workmanship was achieved. The practice worked closely with the new occupants throughout the planning, design and project management phases of the project to ensure the conservation and refurbishment work full-filled expectations and was delivered on time and to budget.
