OWLA commenced its second Passiv House project in 2022 prompting us to invest in the Passiv Haus Planning Package (PHPP) to assist our modelling of fabric at an early stage.

The first property has since commenced on site and is primarily constructed from ICF (insulated concrete forms) and utilises a sandwich slab construction. Performance is further enhanced by the installation of a subterranean heat exchange duct that tempers supply air before it reaches the MVHR unit. We are convinced that enhanced fabric performance in conjunction with solar aspect is the way forward for domestic housing; it simply makes sense.
